O-FouR

It started as a nickname in high school, but the name O-FouR is now known as one of the forces in PNG’s music scene. Growing up in the outstation district of Kandrian in the West New Britain province of PNG, O-FouR was already writing songs and rhyming by the age of 11. With his unique approach that fuses Reggae, hip-hop/rap and R&B, all through the lens of PNG’s distinctive island style, it’s not surprising that his influences are Bob Marley, Tupac, and Michael Jackson.

He’s driven by rhythm and groove, and lyrically he loves telling stories about the village lifestyle and the real-life issues Papua New Guineans face daily. A great example of this is his song ‘West Side’. Over the years, O-FouR has continued to rise, collaborating with some of PNG’s most talented artists, including DJ Dirty Fingerz. His music blends local sounds with contemporary genres in a way that feels both timeless and fresh.
